RECAP OF 2024

As 2024 draws to a close, we reflect on the year with joy. It has passed swiftly, but we have accomplished so much. We participated in several prestigious exhibitions, including the Stockholm Furniture Fair, 3daysofdesign, and Orgatec.  In addition, we undertook extensive rebranding efforts for Ragnars and successfully launched five new products: H2 Hybrid, Infinity Storage, Connex Hybrid Meeting, Bloom Room Divider, and Bloom Touchdown. We would like to take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone we’ve had the pleasure to work with this year. Your support and collaboration have been instrumental in our achievements. As we now approach the holiday season, we are taking a short Christmas break (23/12-1/1)  to recharge our batteries for the new year. COINZ STATION LEADS THE CHARGE IN EPD:S

At the forefront of sustainability and transparency, our team is diligently working to develop Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for our range of products. We are proud to announce that Coinz Station is among the first to be finalized and is now available for viewing on our website. This milestone is part of our larger ambition to ensure that all our products are transparently declared with EPDs in the near future. Our unwavering commitment to sustainability is underscored by this effort, which reflects our dedication to providing clear, accessible environmental information to our customers. Emma Strandberg, our Quality and Sustainability Coordinator, elaborates on the significance of this initiative: – Product lifecycle mapping is a crucial aspect of our environmental efforts. By charting the environmental impacts that occur throughout a product’s life cycle, we can help our customers make informed and environmentally conscious decisions based on actual data. Additionally, it provides us with a clearer picture, leading to opportunities for new designs decreasing CO2. By embracing EPDs, we not only offer our customers transparency but also pave the way for innovative design solutions that reduce our carbon footprint. As we continue this journey, we are committed to advancing our sustainability goals and supporting our customers in making eco-friendly choices.

LET'S TALK ABOUT ORGATEC 2024

With five new products added to our portfolio, developed through fantastic collarborations, we entered this year’s Orgatec fair with excitement and high hopes of gaining visibility and establishing relationships with a broader audience. – Our products clearly stand out in both details and functionality. Many visitors pointed this out, and it was incredible to see how fascinated they were. This proves what we’ve always said: At Ragnars, we are bold and daring, always prepared to go the extra mile and do what others might shy away from, says Peter Wärnbring, CEO. Attending fairs in general is about showcasing your brand and products but also about connecting with people, gaining new understandings and exchanging knowledge with one another. Per Johan Ericson, Sales Director, declares his view on our participation in Orgatec. – Orgatec is an incredibly exciting platform for us to showcase our work. This is the place to be if you’re looking to meet a diverse international audience. I’m very eager to see the results of our participation. Attending Orgatec again was a great opportunity for us to talk about how Ragnars’ products are designed to address the modern office’s new challenges. A lot has happened since we were last in Cologne but one thing still remains; our aim is to craft environments that people will yearn to work in. Because we believe that these spaces aren’t just workplaces; they are realms of inspiration and imagination, where each corner whispers the promise of creativity and possibility. Our mission is to design and craft extraordinary pieces that inspire creativity, foster collaboration, and simplify work life. Sharing our designs with those who seek the extraordinary is at the heart of what we do. Our Marketing Manager and Head of R&D, Johan Ragnar, sums it up pretty well: – We cater to customers who seek extraordinary solutions, as simple as that. And participating in Orgatec 2024 was a crucial milestone in our strategy to build an internationally renowned brand. We are looking forward to staying connected with the many people we met at Orgatec and hope to be back in Germany again soon.

WE ARE CO2 NEUTRAL

This spring we’ve completed the installation of solar panels on our factory roof. This means that we now use 100% renewable energy in our production and that our factory is now  CO2 neutral. Another step in Ragnars’ ongoing commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and helping combat climate change.

THIS WAS STOCKHOLM FURNITURE FAIR 2024

A few weeks has passed since Stockholm Furniture Fair and we’ve been given time to catch our breath and reflect over this year’s participation. We can only say that it once again has been an amazing experience to participate. Our Sales Director Per Johan Ericson is over the moon. – I’m happy to say that we found Stockholm Furniture Fair 2024 to be a big success! The post pandemic discussions have been putting a question mark to the traditional fair concepts but after completing the Stockholm Furniture Fair we could not be happier that we still have this venue. We had the opportunity to meet up with so many existing and new contacts, making this year’s fair one of our best SFF experiences to date! We showcased our new collaboration hybrid table – Together Mini, that we’ve been developing together with Spectrum Arkitekter, which received a lot of positive attention. We aimed to present a piece of furniture to the market that will make a change in people’s work life in terms of being functional, aesthetically appealing and being suitable for several areas of use – the result of this is Together Mini (and the bigger version Together). A unique and innovative multifunctional solution for individual work with the ability to quickly switch into gathering for meetings; physical, digital and hybrid, or simply for some group work together. Ulf Almfeldt, one of the architects behind Together (Mini), says that Together Mini is a response to the market’s demand for work stations where individual work can easily be combined with group work. Furthermore, he points out that according to Leesman 62% of our working time is spent on individual work. The remaining 38% is used for some form of collaboration. Therefore, there should be more investments in, and a bigger focus on work stations for individual work that function optimally, promotes well-being and are aesthetically pleasing. – Together Mini is a piece of furniture that is the answer to all these wishes, Ulf emphasizes. Another fantastic outcome of our collaboration with Spectrum Arkitekter, Boomerang, drew attention with its tiltable table top, especially with the added whiteboard function. Visitors to our stand saw the value in being able to use the whiteboard in different ways i.e scribbling together during group activities, using while presenting something, or making own personal notes. We also mean that Boomerang is a perfect table for workplaces that need to be able to easily refurnish and use the office space in different ways. Thanks to the tiltable table top and the addable wheels this is possible. The Kvadrat Really textile board was another enhancing element to our stand this year. Not only shining a light on the importance of reusing and sustainably sourcing, the textile board itself is a fantastic material aesthetically and gave our Coinz Station and our R5Nxt a completely new and exciting expression. Our popular trusty R6 Work.Station also got a new expression in line with the colours of the fair stand. With its clear straight lines and a table top with a solid aluminum core, it gave a sense of daring to take up space and being proud of it. And if you ask us – it took the place it so much deserves. With that said we are now leaving  Stockholm Furniture Fair 2024 behind us and looking ahead to a spring full of exciting projects collaborations.

STOCKHOLM FURNITURE FAIR 2024

We are happy to announce that we are participating in Stockholm Furniture Fair 2024 – the world’s leading meeting place for Scandinavian design. Between the 6-10th of February you will find us at stand C11:14, showcasing some carefully selected premium workplace furniture from our range. This year, we are extra excited about presenting our new multifunctional table, Together Mini, designed to meet the needs of the contemporary workplace. We will also be showcasing a piece of furniture from our fantastic Coinz series with new elements and one of our classics in a new guise, among a few other surprises. INTRODUCING KVADRAT REALLY

We are happy to introduce the Kvadrat Really textile tabletop to our range.  A pre-coated, high density material made from end-of life textiles. In a time when less than 1% of the textile waste is recycled into new products the Kvadrat Really tabletop could not be more relevant, as producing one textile table top is equivalent of 60 t-shirts or 36 pairs of jeans. Sustainability is consistent throughout the whole production chain with no chemicals or clean water being used and no colourings added – the different colours of the table top are solely from the recycled textiles being used. Besides the recycled textile (70%) the Kvadrat Really tabletop consists of a 2nd generation binder from waste (20%) and a 2nd generation feed stock bio-based binder (10%) which makes it 100% circular and giving it a CO2 footprint less than 75% of a conventional table top. This textile tabletop is categorized as five in terms of surface resistance, meeting the industry’s highest standard for wear and tear, thus being a highly environmentally friendly option to many other materials but without compromising on quality. Kvadrat Really textile tabletop –  a new, unique and SUSTAINABLE option that we are very proud to be able to offer. We have revised our price list for 2023 – now including the Kvadrat Really textile tabletop as an alternative material to our work stations and meeting tables. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any queries.
